Chicken "Lemonato"

A simple recipe for cooking a delicious chicken with potatoes in the oven.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Whole Chicken
  • 2 Kgs Potatoes
  • 4-5 Lemons
  • Oregano
  • Salt
  • black pepper
  • olive oil extra virgin

Instructions
 

  • Cut the whole chicken in half and place on a baking tray. The inside of the chicken has to face up.
  • Peel the potatoes and cut them in long pieces.
  • Place potatoes on the baking tray around the chicken.
  • Garnish the potatoes and the chicken with salt, pepper, olive oil and oregano.
  • Pour the lemons juice to the potatoes and chicken.
  • Add a little water on the baking tray.
  • Preheat the oven in the maximum temperature 250 C
  • Place it on the middle of the oven and allow it to cook for 45 mins
  • Remove from the oven.
  • Turn the chicken upside down.
  • Cook for a further 10 minutes
